Very informative (not to mention colorful) posting. London seems so expensive to me. Anybody know of any deals for getting there and getting around that won't cost me an arm and a leg?

Tara

Don't know about getting there, but for getting around, nothing's better than the public transport system. And if you buy an Oyster card (http://oyster.tfl.gov.uk/oyster), the fare is half-price!

Lee

Oh, how I love London. This would be so useful, every major city should be doing one for us!

Peter

The Coleherne closed down on 24th September 2008. There are now no gay pubs left in Earl's Court.

Joseph

Oy, that's a shame...thanks for letting us know about that! Only a couple of days ago...

Depending on your vacation schedule, I recommend the Notting Hill Fair (month?) during the London summer.
Costumes! Music!
Its diversity and energy is to die for.

Recommended: the summer's Notting Hill Fair in sunny London.
