Gay Road Rage!

We at the Out Traveler compiled a pretty good showing of road trips in our Summer issue, but we have our hats off to the folks who put together The Rainbow Rampage.

2 The first gay motor rally this summer launches in Brighton, England on June 28th amid more pre-gaming parties that you can shake a pint at. All revved up, queer motorists pass through Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague and Vienna before syncing up with the Budapest Pride parade -- in which participants will appear -- on July 4th. All in all, 8 cities in 7 days with a focus not on Europe's lovely highways, but on the spectacular country roads that city tourists never see.

Westcoast On September 27th, more road trip shenanigans will kick off in Seattle for the second seven-day spree, this time rampaging through Crater Lake, Tahoe, Las Vegas and Los Angeles before cruising into San Francisco's Love Fest on October 3rd.

Any "road-legal" vehicle you can think of may -- and probably will -- enter.

Take a minute to really think about this:
1 part Pride parade
2 parts Indy 500
1 parts Chevy Chase's National Lampoon family vacations films
2-3 parts Priscilla Queen of the Desert (substitute 1 part To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything)
