Olivia, the powerhouse of top-notch lesbian cruises, is set to become much more than that. They've just announced a new initiative called Olivia Flings, which will launch it's first land-based vacation package over Labor Day weekend in Seattle.
Aimed at younger women who are earlier in their professional careers -- and who may not have the time or resources to run off to warmer waters for a week on a cruise -- Flings are also planned for Las Vegas and Palm Springs (over Dinah Shore weekend!)
The long weekend Flings are a complete package. For each, Olivia will clear out and reserve hotel floors, clubs and nearby attracts so guests can enjoy a vacation on their own terms -- almost like on a cruise.
The Seattle Fling includes VIP access to a Seattle Storms game, the Girls Rock! Party, Gay Softball World Series, Festival of the Babes Soccer Tournament and other exclusive Olivia entertainment.
I am glad to see Olivia finally taking notice of the younger lesbian community. I have been amazed that its taken this long. In the Gay community, events always focus on the younger crowd, but make everyone welcome. Now it looks that Olivia is finally taking a step and attracting a new market. I just hope the events follow through, who knows maybe my pic will appear in a future Olivia advertisement ( free advertising)

I have wanted to take a cruise and support Olivia for a while now, but as I have only been in the work force 2 years, in expensive DC, all my finances go to rent. This is a much more affordable and fun option.
So much easier to get away for a long weekend than for an entire week. I can not wait to do a Vegas weekend!
Suggestion: perhaps some other, non-athletic events (galleries, shows, tours).

traveling the u.k. this summer. i'm leaving this comment on account of the woman that sent me this email. i am in love with her, and will be forever. she's way too good for me, but to know that there are amazing women out there means something. and that! that is fantastic!

Who likes being stuck on a boat? This is a great idea and will hopefully be the beginning of many more flings. I might just want to visit Canadia since it's close by.

Viva la fling! This is a fantastic alternative option to the long and sometimes pricey cruise.
